5) Domain Registration Information
Now we will add our Domain Registration Information. The first option on this page is create a new GoDaddy account, or to log in to an existing account. The default option is to create a new account. Enter your information, being careful to input accurate data. Press CONTINUE. The next page lets you review your domain registration information. Review the info carefully, and press CONTINUE when you are satisfied your info is accurate.
Tip: Make sure your registration information is completely accurate, especially your email address! Important information will be sent to your email address should you need to make future changes to your domain.
6) Registration Types
There are several different types of domain name registrations that are available: Standard Registration, Private Registration, and Business Registration.
Standard Registration is the most popular option. If you choose this option, your domain registration information will be publicly available.
Private Registration hides all your information from the public. If you do not want your information accessible, you can choose this option.
Business Registration keeps your personal information private, but shows important information about your business, such as contact info.
This page also gives you the option to see special offers that may be available. For our purposes, we will select the “Quick Checkout” option.
Make your selections and press CONTINUE.
7) Checkout
This pages lists the domains and other items you selected. Review your domain name(s) for accuracy, and select the number of years you wish to register the domain for. It is a good idea to register a domain name for two years or more.
Next, choose your payment method. GoDaddy accepts Credit Cards, Paypal, or Checks. Read over the Domain Registration Agreement and Universal Terms of Service and check the boxes next to them.
Click CHECKOUT NOW to move to the next step.Depending on the payment option you selected, you will be taken to a page to enter payment information. Follow the instructions on screen to finish the registration process.
You will receive several confirmation emails from GoDaddy.com in regards to your order and your new account.
