Now comes the fun. Select random patches (roughly in line with the lighter and darker areas) and use Motion Blur on them. Start from the back of your field, and work your way forward. For the patches towards the back, you will have a smaller number on the Distance control (2 or 3), and as you come forward, give it a bigger Distance. Each patch you select can have slightly different directions (from about 2:00 to 10:00 on the Angle dial).
Here’s an example of a patch selection, and the Motion Blur control:

If you do them all like this, your field will look OK, but too plain in some spots. So as you go, follow this procedure from place to place. Find a spot where colors change, like this:

Select it, add a bunch of noise (about 15 in this case) and sharpen (I used Unsharp Mask at 100%).

Create a new selection outside of that area:

Use Motion Blur on it!
